District Hoe-down!
YEEE HAW!!!
We had the best time Friday, March 14th at the District Dinner!! An enormous thank you goes out to Debbie Post, Robert Payne and Carroll Moore (2001's District Award of Merit Recipients) for planning this incredible event. We had so much fun!! Thank you to Rick Romani for his guidance and handling all the certificates! Thank you to Paul Meincke for being our Master of Ceremonies! If you missed this event you missed the BEST District Dinner I've ever been to! Congratulations to all the award recipients for 2002!!

Pinewood Derby
It's not too late to sign your Pack winners up for the District Pinewood Derby.
Pre-registration is due April 8th at the Council office.
NO WALK-INS ARE ALLOWED!!
Date: Saturday, April 26, 2003
Place: Friendship Junior High, 550 Elizabeth Lane, Des Plaines
Time: Check – in 9:30 AM
Racing 10:30 AM
Cost: $5 per participant
Race: First, second, and third palce winners of each rank within each Pack are eligible for competition in the District Derby. Each rank will run a separate derby (Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos.) First and second year Webelos comprise one rank. The winner from each rank race will then compete in a Championship Race.
Design Contest: First, second and third place winners from each pack are eligible for competition in the District Design Contest.
Trophies: Trophies will be awarded to 2nd through 4th in each Rank Division and 1st thru 4th in the Championship Race. The Design Category will have 1st thru 3rd. Each attending participant will receive a certificate and event patch.
Entry: A Scout may enter either the reace or the design contest. NO SCOUT MAY ENTER BOTH EVENTS.

Meeting Locations
District Committee and Commissioner Meetings are held at Park Ridge Presbyterian Church, 1300 W. Crescent Ave, Park Ridge (just south of Touhy and west of Greenwood)
Roundtable and OA Chapter Meetings are held at Christ Church in DesPlaines, 1492 Henry Ave, DesPlaines. (Corner of Cora and Henry)
