Signal Hill Merit Badge Seminar Results
A GIANT thank-you goes out to Kathy Ryan for leading and organizing such a fantastic Merit badge Seminar last month! There were many boys and many adults participating in the event and made this day very successful. Kathy would like to thank Bob Mann for offering Youth Protection Training and the staff that conducted "Safety" trainings.

Signal Hill District Recharter Clinic
DON'T FORGET!! J This year's Recharter Clinic will be on Sat. April 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Phillip's Episcopal Church 342 East Wood Street in Palatine. It is very important that you have your recharter turned in by 4/12/03 enabling you to achieve the Quality Unit Status!

Bring your signed charter, any signed membership forms, and a blank check. Make sure the Charter Organization (Institution Head) has signed the charter, the adult applications and that your Unit Committee Chair has also signed adult applications.

If you already have reviewed your paperwork through a commissioner, you can use the Charter Clinic to turn in the charter with your check.  At the April Roundtable there will be an opportunity to reserve your time slot.

Friends of Scouting
Signal Hill District would like to warmly thank all of our Friends of Scouting families that have made a financial pledge this year. Because of you, we are able to remain strong in scouting in our District and to offer an exceptional scouting experience for all youth in packs, troops and crews. We ask all individuals that are helping to make follow up visits to individuals that weren't present at your FOS presentation, to please continue working these pledge cards. If everyone gives to our campaign, we will be in great shape by the end of the campaign in May. In April, FOS presenters (volunteers) will begin making phone calls along with District Director, Pete Stikovich, to secure pledges from historical givers that haven't given in 2003. If we can get as many pledges as possible before these phone-a-thon sessions, we can avoid phone calls and save many hours of volunteer work. Thank you for your enthusiasm in supporting FOS and helping our endeavor.

Sign up to win a free uniform each week in April.

Short sleeve shirt, pants, socks and a belt.

5 uniforms will be given away.

Stop in weekly to register for the drawing.
