Go Venturing! Card Challenge

The Northwest Suburban Council Venturing Committee announces the Go Venturing! card challenge, a new way for Venturers to get involved and get rewarded at the same time. The Go Venturing! card challenge encourages you to visit a variety of Venturing activities.  Go Venturing! cards will be mailed to every registered Venturer in December 2003 and will be available at events.

Go Venturing! events will be listed on-line at http://units.nwsc.org/~venturing and in the NWSC Venturing News. (send an email with your name and unit to nwscventuring-owner@yahoogroups.com to subscribe to the news)  Already planned and included as Go Venturing! events are Discover SCUBA, Woodcarving, Wall Climbing, Indian Events, Auto Repair and our famous Napowan Weekend.

To take the challenge, carry your Go Venturing! card to every NWSC Venturing event you attend. Staff members will give out stamps at the designated Go Venturing! card events and you can also get stamps at several surprise Go Venturing! card events.

Fill the card by collecting five Go Venturing! stamps. The more NWSC Venturing events you attend, the more stamps you get, and the more cards you complete, the more chances you have to win. Enter as many completed Go Venturing! cards as you want.

Hold on to your completed Go Venturing! cards and bring them to the designated December 2004 event (to be announced later).  To pick up more cards, get extras at designated events.

All completed Go Venturing! cards must be turned in at the designated December 2004 event to be eligible for the 2004 drawing. Prize drawings will be held that day, and winners will be notified at the event; winners will choose among available prizes in the order in which their names are drawn.

Boy Scouts & other non-Venturers can get in on the challenge by joining Venturing & getting their own Go Venturing! card.  For more information or to get involved in organizing more activities, call Debbie Keyes at 847-991-3205 or Bill Morgan Jr. at 847-965-9826.
