North Woods Annual Dinner

            The prom is back and its time to party.  That's right the Annual North Woods Recognition Dinner and Dance will be February 8, 2003 at the Avalon Banquets, 1905 East Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village.  Social hour starts at 6pm with dinner served at 7 pm. The awards will follow.  This is a great opportunity to recognize your Pack or Troops top volunteers as well as spend a great evening with fellow scouters form North Woods.  Meal selections are Chicken for $25 a person and Beef for $30 a person.  Reservations are due into the Council Office by Feb 5^th, in order to make sure all get fed.  For more information look for more information at the North Woods site at www.NWSC.org . Formal attire is not required, but having a good time is.

Training opportunities

            On Saturday Feb 15^th, 2003, the North Woods District will conduct a New Leaders Essentials and Youth Protection Training event.  The event will take place at the LDS Stake center on Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.  The training will start at 9am and will conclude at noon.  The fee for New Leaders essentials will be $5.00 per person taking the class.  Remember that all Leaders taking groups on outings or events need to be Youth Protection trained and this course satisfies that requirement.  For more information contact Gail Walton at 847-255-8309 or Matt Skelly at 847-824-6875 or mskelly@bsamail.org.
