2003 Friends of Scouting “Hat Trick”
The Family Friends of Scouting campaign is coming to completion. Hearing the story of what Scouting does for our youth and how they can help financially is important to the growth of the Scouting program. Each District has done an exceptional job getting the story told at the Unit level. Congratulations to Blackhawk who is at 104% of Goal. There will be a few phone a thons but Cindy Kunzer and team have done an outstanding job in reaching and exceeding their Goal. Way to Go Blackhawk! Pathfinder is at 91.3% of their goal and still has money coming in. They plan to be at Goal by the end of June. Dave Riggs and team will see that it happens. Signal Hill is currently at 92.5% of their Goal and will reach their goal by the end of June. They just keep hitting their goal year after year, Outstanding! Congratulations Jim Moran and team. Northwoods has 91.3 % of their goal raised and are well on their way to reaching their goal by the end of June. Lenny Wade and team are doing an outstanding job telling the story and helping parents understand that the investment they are making is making a difference in the youth in our communities. Overall the Districts are at 94% of the Total Family FOS Goal. A Big Thank You goes to all the Volunteers that have played an important role in the success of the campaign this year.
Motorola Boy Scout Golf Classic Set for June 9th
The Motorola Boy Scout Golf Classic is approaching quickly. There's still time to register your foursome for this annual event benefiting the Northwest Suburban Council. Your opportunity to play a championship-caliber private course awaits you on Monday, June 9th at the Inverness Golf Club.
Are you tired of scrambles? Our format this year will allow you to play your own ball, and benefit from a Peoria Handicap. A hole-in-one on hole #15 will win you a 2003 Porsche Boxster courtesy of Napleton Porsche in Westmont. Hundreds of great items will be available for you to bid on in our silent and live auctions.
