New units
North Woods would like to welcome the members of the Naval Junior ROTC unit from District 214 to the Venturing Program. Ship/Crew 214 chartered to the Parents Club will begin over the summer planning programs and activities for a huge start to the fall activities. The group will have an active interest in High Adventure including marksmanship and climbing. Welcome cadets to the scouting program.
Camporee revisited
The sun was bright as the Scouts of North Woods started the day's activity of building pioneering projects. Several projects were constructed well into the afternoon. Projects included: towers, Monkey Bridges, tables, gateways and a ton of camp gadgets and crafts. The Troops were invited to go out and view other troops projects and get to know the other kids as they explored the world of pioneering. That evening, the North Woods chapter of the Order of the Arrow entertained at the campfire that concluded the evening by conducting an impressive call-out ceremony for dozens of new ordeal candidates. Sunday brought another great day as everyone gathered in song and spirit at the Scouts-own worship service and the awards presentations. Many thanks to Chairman Al Preusker for his work on another well done North Woods event.
