Council Wreath Sales

Northwoods Wreath Company and the Northwest Suburban Council have teamed up again this year to offer a great product sale opportunity for Council units. A 21 product line-up and a reputation for high quality holiday wreaths, garland, and greenery have made the wreath sale one of the best ways to fund your pack, troop, or crew activities.

Council Wreath Chairman John Stottlmire has worked hard to put together a great program this year. For more information, dates, sales forms, or details call John directly at 224-588-2343.

Popcorn Sales are Underway!

Over 4500 Northwest Suburban Council Scouts are out in force as our 2003 popcorn campaign began September 13 with "Race to Win Kickoff Saturday".  Site sales at local store fronts will begin the weekend of September 26-28.

It's still not to late for your unit to get started!  The sale will continue through November 1st so there's lots of time for your pack, troop, or crew to take part in this excellent fundraising opportunity.  Over 70% of the purchase price of all our products goes directly back to the Northwest Suburban Council and our units who sell.  The annual popcorn sale is one of the best ways available to fund your unit's activities, help get your kids to Camp Lakota and Napawan in the summer, and support the training and services provided by the Northwest Suburban Council.  Contact your district's popcorn chair for details:

Remember Scouting in Your Will

As time goes on, outside funding for not-for-profit organizations is becoming harder and harder to secure each year. Endowment funding is the future of the Boy Scouts of America. By leaving a portion of your estate to the Northwest Suburban Council you will be leaving a lasting legacy for the hundreds of thousands of young people who will become Scouts in our community in the future.

Endowment giving can take many forms. Appreciated stock and IRA's, and deferred gifts are popular options for people looking to divest their estates and provide for the long-term financial security of Scouting.

For more information and literature about the options and recognition available contact Council Finance Director Jason Erpelding at 847-824-6910 or jerpeldi@bsamail.org.
