FALL CAMPOREE
On October 17th through the 19th
Scouts and Scouters will gather at Camp Indian Trails in Janesville, WI
for "The Great Deer Hunt" District Fall
Camporee. The fee is $7.00 per person
and can be sent to the Council service Center.
The events are based on knowledge of survival, ropes, orienteering, and
compass, fire building and cooking and ending with a great feast. Please come out cause your not gonna want to
miss this Camporee. For more

FALL RECRUITMENT
This is the time of year to open your doors and invite
the youth of your community to join Scouting.
You have passed out flyers, CD's, and told them about all the exciting
things they will get to do as a Scout.
So what's next? Get all the
applications together, with the registration and boy's life fee, and TURN THEM INTO THE COUNCIL SERVICE CENTER.
Please do this before October 15th to qualify for the Brian
Urlacher Patch. BOY SCOUT TROOPS -----
It's not too late to have your Scouts bring a friend to the Troop meeting and
join as a new Boy Scout. They may earn
an Urlacher Patch also. Let's do the
best we can and get these youth into Scouting.
Remember, every kid deserves a chance to be a Scout.

WHAT? NO MORE LINES AT THE COUNCIL OFFICE FOR
RECHARTING MY UNIT??
HOW CAN THAT BE???
That's right - no more lines at the council office because our district will
have a nice comfortable place with NO LINES as well as some munchies, to
recharted your units in. You will be able to talk to a commissioner who will go
over your paper work to be sure that you have everything that is needed AND our
Council Registrar will be there to accept your rosters and checks. It will be
nice and easy!!

NEW SENIOR DISTRICT
EXECUTIVE
On October 15th, there will be a new Executive
in town. Chris Zarada come to us from
Rockford where he has spent 3 years as a professional. He is an Eagle Scout, married with 3
children and excited to come work in Northwoods District. Please welcome Chris into the Northwoods
family.
FIRST AID MEET
Northwoods first aid meet will be held on Saturday
December 6th at the LDS Church located at 2035 N. Windsor Drive in
Arlington Heights. Get your Scouts
prepared for this great event. For more
