Recruitment training
On Saturday August 9th, 2003 ALL Cub Packs are invited to attend the North Woods Fall Recruitment kickoff. On the agenda is the New Brian Urlacker recruitment patch, proper Rally night coordination, and the Cub Scout Fun CD program which North Woods is one of a select few in the nation to be a part of. The event will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church at the corner of Shoenbeck and Palatine Roads in Arlington Heights. We will start at 9am and go till about 10am. Additionally, fall recruitment packets will be given out at this meeting, if your unit is not in attendance you will need to see our DE to get an orientation on the programs this fall. Plan now to have one, two or more people from your unit in attendance. For more information contact:

August Roundtable
The Training event of August is the North Woods Roundtable. August 12, at St. Simons, 717 W. Kirchoff in Arlington Heights is the place for this massive training day. On the schedule to be taught will be Youth Protection, New Leader Essentials, Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat, Trek on Safely among others. Be sure to check out the North Woods Website for updates on courses being offered at this one stop for some of the basics in scouting training.
