Life to Eagle Seminar and Troop Advancement Training

Mark your calendars for the morning of Saturday, 10/25/03 at Trinity Lutheran Church Rolling Meadows.  This will be the next Life To Eagle Seminar.  Also, there will be Troop Advancement Training this same morning, prior to the Life To Eagle Seminar.

Further Information will be distributed to units at a future date.

New Cub Scout Pack!!

Congratulations to Islamic Society Of N.W. Suburbs Of Chicago, in Rolling Meadows, for chartering a new Cub Scout Pack.  This is the first Muslim Scouting unit in the Signal Hill  District, and maybe the first in the Council's history.  NWSC is very excited to have this Mosque on board with us we look forward to offering you a great Scouting experience over the next year!

FALL CAMPOREE 2003

This year's fall Camporee will run from October 10 thru 12 at Camp Crown in Wilmot, Wisconsin.  The focus will be on preparation of the pioneers as they settled America.

The program will include the following:

  • Construction of Patrol/Troop Pioneer Project

Examples…chair, bench, entrance, tripods, 10 minute tower……

  • Orienteering Course
  • Civil War Demonstration
  • Fire Building
  • Patrol Flag Competition

 

Scouts will be required to be prepared for the following:

  • Lashings, knots, rope whipping
  • Scoring will be based on creativeness, team work, knots and lashings, overall scout skills and spirit.
  • Bring a patrol flag.
  • Bring the necessary wood and rope required to complete the Pioneering Project.

 

Registration forms will be passed out at the September 4th Roundtable 7:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine

Whooporee Update

Mark your calendars for the most exciting Cub Scout event of the year!     The Whooporee date is Saturday, October 18th and the location is our beautiful Council Camp Lakota Further details and registration forms will soon be distributed to Cub Scout Packs. We'll see you there!!
