WELCOME NEW LEADERS

 

The Northwest Suburban Council truly appreciates all the new leaders who have agreed to give of their time, talents, and knowledge to provide the Scouting program to our youth.

 

We also offer you support to help you "Do Your Best" in the form of basic training.  All new leaders need the New Leader Essentials session.  To complete your training, each leader takes the Specifics session related to their position.  Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters also have an Outdoor Leader Skills course to hone the skills our Scouts learn on their way to First Class. 

 

Just for offering of yourself to our program, you, as a new leader, deserve to have what you will gain from training.  Please make time to give this help to yourself. 

 

Take time to view our Training link on the Northwest Suburban Council web site (www.nwsc.org).  You'll find articles about the different trainings, a grid on what is required for your position, training contact names, a calendar of training dates, and fliers for upcoming courses.  Information on supplemental trainings to give you even more knowledge and confidence is also available.
