New NWSC Scout Executive
Ask Steve Taylor about his experiences in Scouting and you won't
get just a few snapshots from recent years.
No, that won't do, not for someone who has spent nearly his entire life in Scouting.
In Scouting terms, NWSC's new Scout Executive knows Scouting like
raccoons know how to forage, like Eagles know how to lead, like Cub Scouts know
Pinewood Derbies.

“We’re Back!” And Looking to the Future
Our compass is pointed “back to the future!” With this edition, Northwest News happily returns to the printed page. Last year’s transition to a web-based newsletter was driven by a severe budget shortfall, and while we remain limited financially, we realize there is great value to a printed newsletter. So, “we’re back”!
Like the electronic version that will continue at northwestnews.nwsc.org, the printed version will be a monthly publication. We won’t be big. The reality is that printing and mailing costs will, for now, limit us to four pages. It is our hope we’ll grow in the future.
Regardless of size, our mission is to bring you as much council news as possible in an interesting, timely fashion. That will, of course, include event calendars, but Northwest News also desires to tell stories about unit events, and individual achievements in our corner of the Scouting world.
You can help us with your suggestions. Scouters on the Council’s Marketing and Communications committee are eager to hear your ideas, and we’ve set up an email-box where you can reach us: marketing@nwsc.org
Visit northwestnews.nwsc.org. for more. Glad to be back!
