Whirlyball is a blast. by Toby Teope Crew 601 On Sept 29th, Crew 601 hosted a whirlyball tournament for the Venturers in the council. They rode around in bumper cars -- wielding mini lacrosse sticks -- trying to score by shooting a whiffle ball into a basket. They even had people running into walls and each other. There were a total of 31 people from 5 crews that attended.  There were 5 teams of 5 people in the competition and everyone had a chance to play each team.  Then the adults took a stab at it at the end. The winner of the night was crew 111 out of Signal Hill. They even left with a trophy. We would like to thank crew 601 for running the event and crews 111, 175, 399, 601, and 690 for coming out to the event. Make sure to come out to the next VAC outing and join in the fun.
