Scouter of the Month - Barb Rubenstein Barbara Rubenstein has a long-term history in Scouting. Recently she has been assisting the two new Blackhawk District Executives, but her primary responsibilities include serving on the Pack Committee for Pack 176, being an active Unit Commissioner with three units, service on the District Committee, and being an active trainer on the District Training Team. She recently completed Commissioner Life Support Training and still finds time to be involved with the Council's Jewish Committee on Scouting which cooperates also with the Northeast Illinois Council. Barb holds the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. In addition to her Scouting duties, Barb works full-time as a Chicago Public School Teacher. Congratulations to November's Scouter of the Month, Barb Rubenstein!
