Scouter of the Month - Gerardo Marquez Entrenador de Soccer de la tropa 797 Marck Twin School. Ha trabajado con los ni¤os por 2 a¤os, les ense¤a buen comportamiento, tanto en la escuela como en casa. Motiva a los padres a apoyar a sus hijos. Tiene su propia compa¤¡a de Embroidery & Printing Co.

En México ejerció como bombero y paramédico por 14 años. En este invierno tiene a su tropa jugando y compitiendo Soccer en YMCA, esto sirve de mucho para que los niños estén activos en el invierno. Es una persona muy activa y dedicada en el futuro de los niños.


The Northwest Suburban Council is proud to select Gerardo Marquez as our Scouter of the Month. Gerardo is the soccer coach for Troop 797 at Mark Twain school in Wheeling – a position he’s held for the last two years. Being a coach means not only teaching the techniques of soccer, but also teaching the basics of good citizenship in school and at home, and Gerardo has worked toward that end as well as encouraging parents to take leadership roles in the activities of their children.

Gerardo has his own company called Embroidery and Printing. He works with area schools creating unique emblems for them. Before coming to the United States, Gerardo was a firefighter and paramedic in Mexico for 14 years. Through his work as a coach with Troop 797 and the YMCA, Gerardo is dedicated to building great futures for the young people he leads.
