Scouter of the Month - Mike Gutschick Mike started his Scouting involvement as a Cub Scout in the NWSC in 1958. His previous Scouting positions include Tiger Coach, Pack 348 Committee Member, Pack Treasurer, Assistant Cubmaster and Cubmaster. His troop positions included Committee member and Assistant Scoutmaster. Mike is currently Scoutmaster for Troop 209 in Palatine and also serves as the District Chairman for the Signal Hill District. He has also served the District as Cub Scout Program Chair, District Program Chair. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow and has received numerous training awards as well as District awards. Mike and his wife Karen have three sons, Matthew (Eagle), Brett (Star as well as a three sport high school athlete) and Ryan (Life). Mike is a partner at Arvex Technologies providing various technologies such as network cabling, Point of Sales, CCTV, wireless audio systems, digital signage and web ordering for the hospitality and retail markets. Mike’s interests outside of Scouting include coaching soccer and basketball, high adventure trips, golf and fishing. We congratulate Mike on his selection as Scouter of the Month.
