Dear Scouting Friends:
Every Scout deserves to have a trained leader! Period. When a Scout reads his handbook and learns of the adventure that is before him, he and his parents expect that the Scout Leaders know the program forward and backwards. Some of this comes from individual or shared experiences, but some of the absolute "BSA Basics" don't come from experiences if you've never been a Scout or a Leader before --- and therefore those skills and policies have be taught. And policies do change from time to time so it's a good idea to learn the absolute latest information.
