Dear Friends:
Dear Scouting Friends:
I continue to be impressed and amazed by our local Scouting volunteers. Recently, I drove to Napowan Adventure Base along with our Council President Jim Tierney and Executive Board member Carl Laub. Upon arrival at Napowan, we found over 400 Lakota Lodge members working to improve camp. Scouts and Scouters had volunteered for the entire weekend, brought their own tools and expertise to help refurbish our camp and prepare for our next summer season. Throughout the entire camp volunteer work crews were cheerfully engaged in a coordinated effort to fix up, clean up, rebuild, paint, and overhaul the entire facility. Many thanks go to the leadership of Tavis Tackett for the coordination of the service projects, Kevin Cutts for coordinating the weekend, and Mike Tangen as Lodge Lay Advisor along with all who helped to improve Napowan.
